Do's and Don'ts
DO's
- Fill out the online request form and discuss your question before sending samples.
- Contact the Facility at any time to discuss sample preparation / processing / shipping.
- Provide us with as much information about your sample / protein as you can.
- Wear gloves at all times during sample handling.
- Acknowledge the Facility in your publications (please), if analyses / services have contributed to your work.
- Always bring your sample in a sealed icebox with plenty of ice and cooled condition.
- Do wear “powder-free nitrile gloves”.
- Make sure that sample submitted for analysis is free of reagents incompatible with mass spectrometer, e.g. SDS, Triton X, DMSO, and high glycerol concentrations.
DON'TS
- DON'T ship samples over the weekend or without prior notice.
- DON'T use detergents for MS experiments of intact proteins.
- DON'T use >5% glycerol for MS experiments of intact proteins.
