International Pharmacy Practice Residency

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a highly motivated individual who desires to obtain advanced education and training leading to an enhanced level of professional practice.
  • Applicants should have completed a postgraduate degree in clinical pharmacy; i.e. clinical pharmacy diploma, PharmD or a relevant degree i.e. Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
  • Two years of experience is preferred but not a must. Applicants should hold an active license to practice pharmacy in Egypt.

Required Documents:

The applicant must submit to the children cancer hospital online portal including the following information by the specified deadline:

  • Complete online application form.
  • Curriculum vita.
  • Personal Statement.
  • Official school of pharmacy transcripts.

Application Review Process:

Selection of Candidates for On-site Interviews:

The Residency Program Director and members of the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) review each application and offer onsite interviews to a select group of applicants. Selection process takes into consideration work experience, pharmacy school grade point average, writing skills demonstrated in application materials, presentation/ research experience, involvement in professional organizations, duration of direct patient care experiences.

Final Selection Process:

During the interview, RAC members complete a residency candidate rank list. A preliminary overall rank list will be developed from a composite of individual rank lists.  At the conclusion of all on-site interviews, a candidate review session is held to discuss the preliminary rank list and the strengths and weaknesses of each residency candidate.
