A second protocol signing that includes participation of all above-mentioned parties to benefit from the exchange of research capabilities, technology and material and human resources. The protocol stipulates the joining of efforts to establish an animal house, the first of its kind in the Middle East, according to international standards, which will be at the service of research activities of the participating parties.
Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, Director of the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, revealed that, the protocol is a significant addition to the research structure in Egypt. He pointed out 57357’s success in attracting the state’s attention to the existence of serious research work within civil society organizations, being the first NGO to earn the Science and Technology Development Fund, ATGF’s grant. Dr. Saqr stressed on the importance of collaborative work of prominent research entities, in favor of advancing research, and its applications to develop pharmaceutical industries, and to improve the Egyptian citizen’s health.
Dr. Sherif Sedki, CEO of Zewail City for Science and Technology, expressed his pleasure for signing the protocol and assured that, establishing the animal house will take us to a higher level in the fields of animal experimentation at the service of science and research and enable us to enhance healthcare levels in Egypt.
