Scope of Services
The scope of work of the nuclear medicine department at the 57357 includes the following:
- Early and accurate diagnosis of tumors
- Following up on the treatment plan with the physician to determine the rate of improvement
- Treating thyroid tumors
- Studying physiological functions of the affected organ to specify if the tumor is still active
- Evaluating the chemotherapy side effects on the body’s different organs
The Nuclear Medicine Department provides all the nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic services for cancer patients. CCHE also owns a medical cyclotron that produces continuous radioactive material or isotopes to supply our center and nearby hospitals.
