One of our Surgical Department objectives is to incorporate research into practice, contributing to the prevention of cancer and increasing survival rates.
Research can take many shapes in a health care setting. Researchers may collect information about disease rates and different aspects related to surgical procedures.
Those findings might lead to a clinical study, which applies knowledge to patients’ situations in order to find new approaches to disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
