Hospital 57357 welcomed Mr. Ryan Silverthorne, headmaster of the Canadian British Columbia School in Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October city, on his first visit to the premises. Mr. Silverthorne was accompanied by a school delegation of students and they went on a tour of the different hospital sections. The purpose of the visit was to deliver the proceeds of the Terry Fox marathon that was organized a month ago by the school. This money is to be allocated to the purchase of an infusion pump in the name of the school.
The headmaster expressed his delight with the visit saying: on behalf of the school, I would like to thank you for enabling us to visit the Hospital and to strengthen the relationship towards more charity work. This visit was an eye-opener to the incredible amount of effort and donations that were put together to make this Hospital a reality. We are really delighted to contribute to the support of the children.
At the end of the visit, Mr. Silverthorne pledged to offer more support to the patients and asked the head of the “outreach to schools” department of the 57357 Foundation to coordinate for another visit of the students to celebrate Christmas with the patients.
Thank you British Columbia School for your lovely visit! With your support, our children with cancer can renew their hopes of being cured.
