Today, January 21, 2023, Hospital 57357 welcomed a large delegation comprised of Ms. Ladmila Salama, president of the Russian Cultural Center, Mr. Morad Gartin and Ms. Sohair Abdel Kader, head of Awladna “our children” Association for children with special needs, accompanied by a group of the Center members and a group of the Association’s children. The visit is to support volunteering activities in Hospital 57357, where the Russian Cultural Center organized a volunteering day to visit the Hospital’s children. The Russian Cultural Center members volunteered in partnership with children from Awladna Association to offer moral support to the children with cancer. The guests were welcomed by Mr. Abdulla Khalifa, from Hospital 57357’s volunteers department.
The visit included a tour in the Hospital’s different sections and our guests got acquainted with the different activities of volunteers inside the Hospital’. The guests visited our children in the different departments and offered them gifts that delighted them. Mr. Gartin, the president of the Russian Cultural Center, expressed his happiness with the visit saying, “This is my first visit to the Hospital and I am so happy with it, I won’t save effort to offer support to the children. I’ll contact the Egyptian community in Moscow to support the Hospital and will invite all the Russian Center’s visitors to visit the Hospital and volunteer to serve its children, since, supporting them does not only affect them positively, but it affects us too. We learn from them to be passionate about life, and to have determination and hope to achieve what we want”.
Ms. Salama revealed that the visit delighted her a lot and she assured that she will be constantly visiting the Hospital and offering support. About her visit to the Hospital today, Ms. Abdel Kader said: “despite being so tired today, I could not hesitate to join this visit, as the Hospital’s children are very dear to my heart”.
At the end of the visit, coordination was established between the Russian Cultural Center and the volunteers department for mutual support through the training courses that the Center organizes. They agreed to arrange for a meeting between the Center president and the representative of continuous learning and development department of the Hospital. They also agreed to have the Center volunteers join 57357’s children choir to perform entertaining activities, and to invite the Russian community in Egypt to visit and support the Hospital.
It is noteworthy that the Russian Cultural Center in cooperation with Awladna Association shared 57357’s children choir in many artistic activities at the Center’s premises and in the Afro-Chinese international festival.
