Hospital 57357 welcomed a delegation of students from Egypt Japan University of Science and technology on their first visit to 57357’s children. The visit is within the framework of a cooperation protocol between the university and Hospital 57357 in many fields such as training and mutual visits which enable knowledge exchange between the two parties.
The students were welcomed by Mr. Maher Mohamed from the 57357 Foundation’s “outreach to universities” department. He accompanied them on a tour of the Hospital’s different sections including the day care where they offered nice gifts to the patients. They also visited the clinical pharmacy’s sections, the radiotherapy department and the research department where they were introduced to the technology in use and the latest devices that ensure the provision of the best care to children with cancer. During the visit, they noticed how the Hospital is concerned with the psychological aspect of care and wellbeing of the children children’s through the provision of a play room on each floor as well as the art therapy recreation center, which contribute to raising children’s morale, improve their response to treatment and accordingly raise the survival rate ( presently 71.7%).
The students expressed how proud they were with the high level of care offered to children, and praised the humanitarian and compassionate interaction of the work team with the children and their families. They expressed their desire to visit the Hospital again, and wished to receive training in its different departments.
At the end of the visit, the students offered a generous donation to support our children’s treatment journey. Our gratitude to students of Egypt Japan University of Science and technology, and we are waiting for more visits to bring happiness to our children.
