Mariam’s father: even if I had millions of pounds, I wouldn’t be able to find a better place than 57357 to treat my daughter
My daughter Mariam is 7 years old. She was struck with illness before learning to talk. She was 2 years old when she developed a tumor the first time. A lapse of 18 months, she had two surgeries. She was treated with both chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and presently she is in the follow up stage, may God grant her complete recovery.
We are from Alexandria, Mariam is the most precious in our lives, said the father. I used to pray to God to grant me a girl and to call her Mariam. Thanks be to God my prayers were answered, and Mariam became a source of happiness for the entire household. She was an active, smart, and joyful child who was always laughing. One day, our lives got turned upside down, when suddenly we found Mariam unconscious. Upon an MRI test, the doctors discovered a brain tumor. They told us that the tumor is growing fast and she needed a surgery as soon as possible. Within 10 days she was unable to walk and had difficulty talking.
We were shocked, and I thought about 57357, I felt that it would be a lifeline for my daughter, though I hardly knew anything about it. All my information came from the TV ads, and I couldn’t believe that this beautiful Hospital is providing its services free of charge.
I called the Hospital to ask about the admission procedure, took my daughter to them and within two days they called us. When she was admitted, they repeated all the tests and x-rays, and Dr. Mohamed Albeltagy carried out her first surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery was successful and she got better for 9 months. Unfortunately she relapsed, and she had another surgery followed by 30 chemotherapy sessions and 36 radiotherapy sessions.
Her treatment was completed in June 2020, and since then she is in the follow up phase. We are scared that she would relapse, but praying to God for her complete healing. Our Merciful God directed me to Hospital 57357 which saved her life and saves many children’s lives, and I have faith that He will protect her.
In 57357 I’ve seen a large number of children receiving treatment, and behind each child there is a family who is deprived of joy and peace of mind. Nobody knows the bitterness of this experience and the value of this Hospital except the children and families who go through this ordeal. Cancer treatment is costly. She had an MRI in a private center before admission to 57357 that cost 1000 pounds. Since she was admitted to the Hospital she had treatment, two major brain surgeries, chemotherapy, radiotherapy plus x-rays and blood tests, even the daily meals, all for free. Since the day of admission, the child becomes their responsibility. They take care of children’s psychological conditions throughout the treatment to the extent that they used to ask Mariam daily about what she would like to eat.
Those children are facing an aggressive disease and they are in pain, though they look comfortable as everyone is treating them with care and mercy. Even if I had millions, I wouldn’t find a better place for treating my daughter, and I am confident that God will grant her complete recovery.
