Hospital 57357 welcomes the visit of Canon Central and North Africa’s Managing Director

Hospital 57357 welcomed Mr. Somesh Adukia, Canon Central and North Africa Managing Director, accompanied by a delegation from the Company’s Cairo office on their first visit to the Hospital. The guests were greeted by Dr. Motaz Elzemaity, Hospital 57357’s medical director, Mr. Mohamed Abdullah and Mr. Islam Ramadan from the Foundation’s “outreach to companies” department.

The visit started with a speech by Dr. Elzemaity where he welcomed the guests, presented a brief about the Hospital and expressed his happiness for Canon’s selection of Hospital 57357 to support it. At the Hospital, we have treated about 50 thousand children since its opening and we have reached a recovery rate of 72%, clarified Dr. Elzemaity.

With these words, Mr. Adukia expressed his delight with the visit: “words cannot express how I feel”. On behalf of Canon Cairo office, I would like to thank you for your efforts with children with cancer as Egypt’s children deserve the best. It was delighting to see the Egyptian medical team and psychologists exerting their best to draw a smile on children’s faces while receiving treatment. We have brought a number of our company’s products, hoping they can be of use and bring joy to your children, he added.

Mr. Adukia and the accompanying delegation toured the Hospital’s different sections, starting with the office of Dr. Sherif Abouel Naga, 57357 group CEO and the Hospital’s General Manager, who thanked them for their support and suggested exploring other channels of support to the Hospital’s children. Mr. Adukia showed enthusiasm to give more support through the offering of some of the company’s medical equipment.

During the visit, the delegation was acquainted with the latest technology equipment the Hospital depends on to offer quality comprehensive care to its children. The guests were impressed to see latest equipment and the application of world standards in all aspects of the Hospital’s operations. It is noteworthy that integrated Canon is a multinational company specialized in manufacturing cameras, copying machines and printers, and located in Tokyo, Japan. Meanwhile, Canon Medical Systems Corporation is a medical equipment associated company located in Tochigi, Japan, and specialized in x-ray tubes since 1914.
