Regenerative Medicine Laboratory Internship 2024
Overview
Regenerative medicine is the branch of medicine that develops methods to regrow, repair or replace damaged or diseased cells, organs or tissues. The tools used to realize these outcomes are tissue engineering and stem cell-based cellular therapies. Regenerative medicine is an interdisciplinary field that brings together experts in surgery, chemistry, biology, materials engineering to find solutions to some of the challenging medical problems.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Understanding the field of regenerative medicine
- Increasing awareness of the necessity of interdisciplinary field to meet current challenges in healthcare and importance of collaboration of clinicians and scientists.
- Understanding the basics of cell culture
- Understanding the basis of 3D bio printing and its applications
