Hospital 57357 welcomed an Amazon co. delegation headed by the GM of Amazon Egypt., Mr. Omar Al Sabahi and a large group of employees. The visit was initiated to be during September on the occasion of the world’s Childhood Cancer Awareness month. The visit’s purpose is to support the vital role of the Hospital of providing quality comprehensive care to children with cancer. Dr. Sherif Abouel Naga, CEO of the 57357 group met with Mr.Al Sabahi to discuss more areas of cooperation between Amazon and the Hospital in order to support the children’s long treatment journey.In this respect,Al Sabahi declared: “To be able to serve the community is an integral part of our raison d’etre as we are committed to principles of cohesion and unity among members of the community which helps us to face many challenges. As such, our endeavors reflect our company’s faith in the power of community work, in working together to face local challenges, in supporting sustained development, and in improving public services. Hospital 57357 is a live example of what can be achieved when people work together to reach a common goal.”He added: “Through our ‘Amazon goes gold’ initiative we actively pursue to bring support and hope to our little heroes. This is my second visit to the Hospital as I came before with my family. Today I am happy to contribute to more support to hospital 57357’s children with cancer”.Regarding the collaboration with Amazon, Dr. Abouel Naga commented: “We are grateful to Amazon for supporting our emergency unit. Not only is this generous contribution sustaining the role of the hospital in providing best quality care to our patients; but it is also the positive outcome of cooperation between corporates and healthcare institutions to improve medical services for the most vulnerable in the community. We are all working together to achieve a common goal which is to enable hope in cure and a brighter future for our children who are battling cancer”.The public relations head accompanied our visitors during their tour of the different hospital sections including the Cyberknife, the recreation center and art therapy, the emergency department, and the day-care where our visitors offered lovely gifts to the patients receiving their chemo sessions.At the end of the visit, our guests offered their donation which will contribute to the up grading of the emergency unit, saving the lives of many patients, decreasing their hospital stay, and ultimately increasing over-all survival rates.The previous day, we were delighted to receive another amazon delegation from their office in Dubai. They brought along presents to the patients.
