Hospital 57357 participated in the first pediatric hematology, oncology and clinical immunology conference in Uzbekistan. Under the patronage of Uzbekistan’s first lady, and upon invitation of Ambassador Amira Fahmi, Egypt’s ambassador to Tashkent, Hospital 57357 participated in the pediatric hematology, oncology and clinical immunology conference. The Hospital signed a three year, renewable cooperation protocol in the field of pediatric oncology and hematology between the Children’s Cancer Hospital Foundation 57357 and pediatric hematology, oncology and clinical immunology center in Uzbekistan.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Ahmed Emad Eldin, pediatric oncology consultant and head of Emergency department of Hospital 57357, and Dr. Gamila Polatova from Uzbekistan’s center.
The memorandum is one of five that Uzbekistan center signed on the sideline of the conference, and the most important one, where the Uzbekistani side is looking forward to take a closer look at the Hospital’s prominent experience, including the provision of training to Uzbekistani medical cadres, research work, purchasing of medications and equipment, and collecting donations.
The signing of the protocol took place at the end of the conference which was held during the period June 5th to June 7th, under the patronage of Uzbekistan’s first lady. Representatives of Uzbekistani Ministry of External Affairs and those of the WHO office in Tashkent, participated in the signing process..
The Egyptian embassy in Tashkent expressed appreciation of the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357, which is a national pride for all Egyptians. They thanked Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, president of the board of directors, Dr. Sherif Abuel Naga, 57357 Group CEO and the Hospital General Manager, Dr. Ahmed Emad Eldin,, Dr. Ibrahim Abdo, and all the Hospital’s doctors for their humanitarian mission towards children with cancer.
