The main research interest of Dr. El-Naggar is in the field of tumor biology, specifically examining the role of aggresomes and misfolded proteins in pediatric brain tumors and the interplay between unfolded protein response and autophagy. El-Naggar’s research group is funded by the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF), The World Academy of Science (TWAS), ASRT, Egypt cancer network in USA and Canada. She authored and co-authored on papers in many prestigious journals such as Cell Stem Cell, Development, Biochemistry Journal, Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Scientific Reports.
