On February 24, Hospital 57357’s CEO welcomed two senior BD executives on a short visit to Egypt. Becton, Dickinson and Company, also known as BD, is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world that offers innovative services and solutions that help advance both clinical therapy for patients and clinical process for healthcare providers.
Our guests, Jeff Andrew, VP Medical Affairs and Nedim Albayrak, Head of Medical Affairs, Integrated diagnostic solutions, represent BD’s life Sciences segment which is continually moving forward science and clinical outcomes in cancer and infectious disease. Accompanied by Dr,Youssef Samir, product and lab specialist from Kmet Co., our visitors were briefed about the 57357 Institution and the CEO took them on a guided tour of the Hospital including the cytopathology lab, main lab, clinical pharmacy, art therapy, Daycare unit, in-patient ward, basic research, and clinical research
Our visitors were impressed by the state of the art facility and they were particularly appreciative for our provision of a recreation center (art therapy) which caters to the psychological well-being of our patients. Seeing that a simulation (hands-on experience) lab was in the plan to be integrated to the center, our guests expressed interest in sponsoring it.
In a message to the CEO, Jeff Andrew, pledges his support in various areas:
- cytology and molecular pathology labs.
- Implementation of a national campaign for prevention of cervical cancer.
“We will support a team effort by BD to understand all of your pain points and learn ways that BD can possibly bring solutions”, said Jeff Andrew at the end of his message.
