A new dream is coming to light, new expansions to be built by Egypt’s sons. Many kind hearted people share in the joy of the vision of being able to offer every sick child top quality treatment and room. Egypt’s loyal sons are always involved in good deeds, each in his own way. Through the initiative “dream..draw..color”, that was launched by the Egyptian universities program of the 57357 Foundation, students of art faculties raced to participate in painting the fence surrounding  Hospital 57357’s new expansion site. The new expansion includes an additional 300 bed in-patient tower, a research center and an outpatient clinics facility.

Over the course of six months, several workshops were conducted with students to select the best and most expressive designs. 200 students from different Universities are participating in this initiative including  the faculties of Applied Arts and Art Education, Helwan University, faculty of Applied Arts, Banha University, and faculty of Art Education, Almenya University. 50 different designs, inspired by the architecture and vision of the hospital, were produced. The designs expressed research, psychological care, equity between children as well as drawings of influential figures since the inception of the Hospital  such as haga Zuhra who stands as an icon for 57357 ever since she donated the modest totality of her savings at the opening of the hospital, Mrs. Ola Ghabour, Prof. Dr, Reda Hamza and others whose contributions enabled sick children to restore hope in cure and a better future.a recovery hope.

It noteworthy that the initiative is sponsored by KAPCI Coatings, who provided paints and Rich Bake company who provided meals for the participants.

Meeting the students while they were coloring the fence: Our designs reflect the children’s dreams and our delight and pride of contributing to the new Dream.

Norhan Mohammed, grade two, Applied Art faculty, Helwan University: all the designs are inspired by the spirit of the Hospital, and carry beautiful colors to instill hope and positive energy in patients’ hearts. We drew 57357’s  in-house school, research labs and patterns that reflected patients’ dreams. I am happy to contribute to 57357’s expansion even through this is a small contribution.

Aya Morad, fifth grade, Art Education faculty, Almenia University: we are painting 127 blocks of the fence, with colors that reflect both the children’s suffering during their battle with the disease and their happiness when they overcome cancer. I hope the expansions will be completed soon, and am proud of participating with the other faculties in decorating the fence.

Artists and media representatives share in decorating the fence:

As usual, artists and media representatives are always present to take part in 57357’s activities in support of the children. In an interview with some of them, they revealed:

Media figure Ahmed Salem: what is inspiring about 57357 is that it started as a dream that was turned into a concept, then into the greatest charitable project in the Middle East. For this reason, we came to paint the fence of the new expansions dream. Through the “dream.. draw.. color” initiative, along with university students we will express our dreams for 57357 into paintings and colors on the fence.

Artist Rasha Mahdi: I came today to share  university students in their initiative, hoping the expansion dream of an additional 300 beds would be realized  so  that no sick child would be turned away because of over-stretched capacity

Media figure Sali Fouad: In the past, we have witnessed the 57357 dream becoming a reality  , today, through “dream..draw..color” initiative, we will share in the materialization of the additional 300 beds dream, so more children can be cured. My sincerest wishes for  a great future for 57357 and for our country.

Media figure  Morad Makram: through the “dream..draw..color” initiative we will achieve 57357’s new dream of adding 300 beds. It is pleasure and honor to share in this experience. Though I am sharing in the initiative of Banha and Almenya universitities just by coloring, I feel I am sharing in a new dream for Egypt. I am inviting everyone to contribute, with money or with effort in instilling hope in the  little hearts of the sick children that need your support.

Among the artists who participated were Arwa Gouda, Hesham Maged and Mohammed Shaheen.

Whenever 57357 dreams you will find Egypt’s students participating in the dream, voicing and expressing their support to the cause of our sick children with cancer. Egyptians from all walks of life compete to support 57357, artists, businessmen and patriotic youth and adults.

Thanks to the students of art faculties who shared in decorating the expansion site’ fence. Thanks to all the artists and media figures who insisted to be part of the event. Thanks to Kapci Coatings for their sustainable support for 57357’s children.
