Rafael Gross, the Director general of IAEA revealed that Egypt has a leading experience in radiotherapy treatment. “You have Hospital 57357, which is a great Hospital, I visited it before”, said Gross clarifying that half of the countries in the African continent do not have a single radiotherapy equipment.
Gross talked in the “final word” program on ON channel about the details of launching “rays of hope” program for the African Union countries which will increase the capacity of the countries that use radiotherapy saying:
“We will launch “rays of hope” program in the African union in collaboration with a number of presidents including president Alsisi, and I discussed this with president Alsisi who provided us support”
There is still a lot of work to do, whether in relation to epidemics or to the energy field for the countries that need nuclear medicine.
Egypt is a leading country in radiotherapy treatment, and Hospital 57357 is a leader in this field.
