Hospital 57357 welcomed Ms. Randa Bessiso, president of Manchester University’s Middle East Center in Dubai, accompanied by a delegation of the University’s management and Dr. Khaled Khedr, representative of Manchester University’s alumni in Egypt. They were welcomed by Dr. Motaz Alzemaity, the Hospital’s deputy general director for medical affairs, on behalf of Dr. Sherif Abuel Naga, the Hospital’s general manager, Dr. Ahmed Alsherbini, head of 57357’s external relations administration and Mr. Maher Mohamed, representative of the outreach to universities department of the 57357 Foundation.
During the meeting with Dr. Alzemaity, the delegation was acquainted with different aspects of care provided to children in 57357 and the paid services made available to adult patients, where the income is considered as donations in favor of children’s treatment. They also discussed the cooperation with other institutions in the different scientific training fields, where Dr. Alzemaity highlighted that the Hospital is committed to investing in the development of skills and expertise of its staff to provide the best care to its patients. He also stressed that the Hospital management is constantly pursuing to offer latest treatment equipment such as the cyberknife, which is the latest radio-surgical treatment technology.
The guests toured the Hospital and visited different departments such as the clinical pharmacy where they got acquainted with its sub specialties and the latest technology in dispensing medications which saves time and effort. The guests met the pharmacist Hossam, who was a 57357 patient , who defeated cancer and is now working as a pharmacist in the Hospital. They also visited the radiotherapy department, the cyberknife building, the daycare, the art therapy recreation center and the up graded pathology labs through which diagnostic services are offered with utmost accuracy and speed using latest North American guidelines and procedures.
At the end of the visit, Ms. Bsisu commented: “what I have seen here exceeded my expectations, it is obvious that the Hospital’s management is keen to apply highest quality standards in all Hospital operations, and it is obvious that employees are carefully selected according to their potential of providing excellent care with compassion. We are looking forward to collaborating with the Hospital to contribute in supporting those children”.
At the end of the visit, a generous donation was offered in the name of Manchester University, Middle East center, to support the treatment of 57357’s children.
