Hospital 57357 welcomed Dr. Simon Thurston, head of the pediatric oncology department and the administrative manager of the Faculty of Madisen, University of Cologne, Germany. Dr. Thurston was invited by Dr. Mohamed Fawzi, pediatric oncology consultant at 57357, on the side line of his participation in a conference at the the National Cancer Institute.
During his visit, Dr. Thurston got to know the different departments of the Hospital, met with the staff, listened to doctors’ explanation and was impressed by the research department, the cyberknife, labs and daycare
Channels for future cooperation between 57357 and Cologne University in the field of research were discussed.
