Hospital 57357 welcomed the visit of Dr. Salman Punekar, Assistant professor of pediatric oncology in New York University Langone Health. The visit falls within his travel program to Egypt during the current December, to get to know about the Hospital and to give a lecture about new treatment methods for solid tumors.
The lecture was attended by a large number of the Hospital’s healthcare specialists along with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Morsi Elgohari, president of Borg Al Arab Technological University with a group of professors and students, where they happen to visit the hospital at the same time of the lecture.
Dr. Punekar presented research studies for new methods of treating solid tumors, and ways of evaluating the new treatments and how to use them. At the end of the visit he met with Dr. Alaa Elhadad, head of Hospital 57357’s pediatric oncology department and bone marrow transplantation unit, the research team, and representatives of the continuous education and development administration. They discussed potential cooperation between New York University and Hospital 57357 through Dr. Punekar.
