Hospital 57357 welcomed a visit from Major General Samir Farag, a strategic expert, former director of moral affairs, head of the Opera House, and former governor of Luxor. This is not his first visit, and he was accompanied by his daughters, Rania and Noura.
Farag confirmed on his Facebook page that the hospital is considered one of the most important medical institutions in Egypt and Africa, equipped with the latest technology, He added: “It is Truly a beautiful day in my life. This hospital treats children from one day old to 18 years old, battling the cruel disease, completely free of charge. The hospital is equipped with the latest technology. It truly feels like you’re in a European hospital. For the first time, I’ve seen a place where the staff loves it more than themselves.
Major General Farag and his companions toured the hospital’s central laboratories during their visit. They listened to a detailed explanation about all its various equipment and were amazed by its modern technologies. Furthermore, Farag and his companions inspected the clinical pharmacy and witnessed how medication is prepared and dispensed automatically by a robot, to minimize drug wastage and human error. they also visited the pathology laboratory on the fourth floor and inspected the art therapy recreation center. He was impressed by all the recreational activities, including drawing, coloring, storytelling, and music.
Major General Farag and his daughters delighted the sick children with beautiful gifts. They distributed these gifts to them in the day care unit, contributing to putting a smile on their faces and boosting their morale, which helps to speed up their response to treatment. Farag concluded his visit to the hospital by inspecting the CyberKnife building and device, the latest radiation technology for treating tumors. He expressed his appreciation for the hospital’s role in treating children with cancer.
