for the second year in a row, Hospital 57357 organized the ‘Metabolomics Day 2024. This was done in collaboration with the Continuous Education and Development Department and 57357’s Proteomics and Metabolomics Laboratory. The meeting aims to bring together researchers and experts in the field of metabolomics to discuss the latest scientific developments and exchange ideas about the various applications of this science.
The day’s events featured a meeting with Dr. Sameh Magdeldin, the director of 57357’s Proteomics and Metabolomics Laboratory, Which, with a group of specialists from the laboratory’s research team, reviewed how to utilize metabolomics techniques in various fields. This was attended by researchers and faculty members from prestigious scientific institutions such as the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, the Faculty of Science and Pharmacy at Cairo University, the National Research Center, and the Faculty of Science at Helwan University. Moreover, it also addressed the challenges that researchers may face in enhancing scientific collaboration in cancer research.
The event included lectures on the perspectives of metabolomics, and a review of the latest technologies in the mass spectrometry unit (LC-MS/MS). Furthermore, current research and data analysis methods related to metabolomics were presented, providing researchers with an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences.
The day concluded with panel discussions on the challenges faced by researchers, with a focus on strengthening collaboration between scientific institutions and Hospital 57357, Especially in the field of cancer research. This event serves as a crucial platform for the exchange of knowledge and the fostering of collaboration among academics and researchers, thereby contributing to the development of novel research that may improve treatment outcomes and healthcare in the future.
This event demonstrates 57357’s commitment to driving scientific advancements that serve humanity and make a difference in the world of healthcare.
