Hana is one of 57357’s cancer fighters. She is 9 years old. She was admitted to the hospital two and a half years ago, and she was diagnosed with a stage 4 adrenal gland tumor. She received chemotherapy treatments, underwent surgery to remove a large portion of the tumor, and then received more chemotherapy treatments. She subsequently underwent an autologous bone marrow transplantation, followed by a course of radiation therapy, consisting of 12 sessions, which she began three months ago. One month ago, she started monthly treatments and follow-up visits.
Hana’s mom shared, ‘I was losing hope for my daughter, but my faith in God is strong. Thanks to 57357, I believe she can live a normal life.’ I wish everyone would donate to Hospital 57357. They need every penny to treat our children. Hana and I also donate, even if it’s a small amount.
Hana says, ‘I love 57357 because every time I come here, it feels like an adventure. I bring balloons for my friends, and if I see someone crying because they’re scared of the treatment, I play with them and tell them not to worry. I was sick too, but now I’m better and my hair is growing back. I want to be an internal medicine doctor so I can treat kids at 57357.
Hana is still completing her treatment journey and she, along with many other children like her, needs every helping hand. Your donation and zakat will help us at 57357 to complete our project of increasing the number of bone marrow transplant rooms from 9 to 27, so that many of our children, like Hana, can have bone marrow transplants and achieve their hope of recovery from cancer, God willing.
