Our children in 57357 are patients with big dreams who, despite the pain, are fighting bravely to realize them. Our hero Abdel Rahman is a 12-year-old boy from Cairo. When admitted to 57357 in August 2021, he was unable to move the lower part of his body. He was diagnosed with a tumor on his spine. He had a surgery to remove the tumor after which he received chemotherapy for 28 weeks concurrently with 32 radiotherapy sessions. Currently, Abdel Rahman is waiting for his last chemotherapy dose.
Abdel Rahman’s mother: in 57357 I saw God’s mercy materializing with my son. He was unable to move or feel with his lower part and was in a very bad psychological condition. When we came to 57357 I was surprised to find that they don’t just take care of his health, but also of his psychological condition too. They helped him overcome his fear and rejection of therapy. After the surgery, he started chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and he started to regain sensation in his lower part. As such, the hope to be able to move his legs with physiotherapy is growing. I would like to say to everyone who donates to this Hospital that no matter how small your donation is, it makes a big difference in our children’s lives. What they provide to our children in 57357 is beyond expectations, as they receive best quality medical and psychological care.
Abdel Rahman: I like the Hospital, the art workshop and Karawan who is my friend. I feel happy when I go to the art workshop to draw. When I was admitted to 57357 I was scared and upset, but they reassured me and were concerned about my morale. I hope to recover and to become a software engineer.
Our hero Abdel Rahman is pursuing his treatment and waiting for the result of the follow up tests. Our prayers go out for his healing, and for the healing of all our heroes.
Our children are heroes, with your support they will win their fight against cancer.
