Pediatric Oncology Intensive Care Unit

Medical staff of the ICU are eligible to do the following procedures:

• Emergency procedures include Endotracheal intubation (oral and nasal routes) & difficult airway management.
• Peripheral & central venous access insertion (central line insertion).
• Mechanical ventilation includes high-frequency oscillation ventilation (HFOV).
• Mini procedures include Thoracocentesis (chest tube insertion), Abdominal paracentesis, and Lumbar puncture.
• Pericardiocentesis (ECHO guided)
• Flexible bronchoscopy for critically ill pediatric patients.
• Functional Echocardiography in PICU for hemodynamic monitoring of critically ill patients.
• Bedside EEG
