Ahmed from Elmenia is 3 years old. He started his treatment journey in Hospital 57357 few months after his birth. He suffered from unusual symptoms such as fever and loss of appetite. Ahmed’s mother consulted many doctors, until they decided to take x-rays and blood tests, which indicated a tumor on the adrenal gland, on the kidney. As his condition was severe and advanced he was immediately admitted to the Hospital and received chemotherapy.
He had a surgery to remove the adrenal gland. Then, he received 5 doses of chemotherapy after the surgery. Consultant Mohamed Abdel Rahman supervised the case since the beginning of his treatment. After a meeting to discuss Ahmed’s condition, the doctors decided autologous bone marrow transplantation, to improve his chances of cure.
All of this wasn’t easy for Ahmed’s mother, but she had trust in God and in the medical team who is following her son.
