Sohaila from Asyout is 8 years old, in second elementary grade. She likes going to school and studying. Sohaila is being treated from leukemia, she started her treatment journey 7 years ago. When she was one year old the disease symptoms appeared. Two weeks after being placed on the waiting list, she was admitted to the Hospital to start her treatment. 3 years later, she recovered and returned back to her normal life. She went back to doing the activities she liked and had stopped doing while she was sick. As she suffered from a persistent rash, her mother took her to the dermatologist hoping this was no alarming condition. The doctor prescribed a treatment, but the rash increased after taking the first dose. Her mother decided to take her to Hospital 57357 to be on the safe side. At the Hospital, doctors told her that the disease is striking again and that she must be admitted at once. This wasn’t easy for them, having to face cancer for the second time. But thanks be to God and your support, they found the Hospital ready to do all what it takes to defeat the cancer.
Currently Sohaila is in the bone marrow transplantation, BMT unit, to receive bone marrow from a donor (her brother), to increase her chances of recovery. There will always be a hope for Sohaila to realize her dream, and become a doctor, like Dr. Seham Gohar, her treating doctor that she is fond of.
