Course Description
The course is designed for medical and biomedical graduates who seek to advance either knowledge in the field of Immunology.
The course blends 45 hours of didactic lectures with 18 hours practical training. Through its two modules (Module I: Basic and advanced Immunology and Diagnostic; Module II: Therapeutic Immunological Strategies) and hands-on lab. training, the course introduces participants to clinical practice, advanced research aa well as, provides training in the immunology field.
Additionally, the program covers the latest research approaches in the fields of Immunotherapy and Immunogenetics.
Course Objectives
The goal of the program is to build the knowledge of participants about basic and advanced biological concepts as well as innovative diagnostic and therapeutic immunological applications.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Comprehend immunosurveillance main mechanisms
- Understand tumor antigens and escape immunosurveillance strategies
- Understand immune tolerance and autoimmunity
- Recognize the physiologic and pathologic consequences of immune activities and the strategies of immunomodulation
- Acquaint with immune-based therapeutic approaches for malignant, autoimmune & chronic inflammatory diseases
- Develop the knowledge of cancer immunoediting process
