CAP Education Course
Overview
Our program is designed to provide laboratory professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the CAP accreditation standards through discussing the CAP accreditation process and requirement, laboratory quality management system implementation, personnel Qualifications and Responsibilities, Facility and Safety Standards Compliance and Inspection Readiness and Continuous Improvement.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training / course participants will have the necessary knowledge and skills to meet CAP accreditation standards through:
- Day 1: Introduction to CAP Accreditation Standards
- Understand the importance of CAP accreditation for laboratories
- Identify key CAP accreditation standards and requirements
- Describe the process of applying for CAP accreditation
2.Day 2: Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation
- Implement a Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with CAP standards
- Develop procedures for document control, internal audits, and proficiency testing
- Establish a culture of continuous quality improvement within the laboratory
3.Day 3: Personnel Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Define the qualifications and responsibilities of laboratory personnel as per CAP standards
- Ensure compliance with personnel training, competency assessment, and continuing education requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in staff performance evaluation and competency assessment practices
4.Day 4: Facility and Safety Standards Compliance
- Assess laboratory facilities and safety protocols for compliance with CAP standards
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the laboratory environment
- Develop protocols for emergency preparedness and response in accordance with CAP guidelines
5.Day 5: Inspection Readiness and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare the laboratory for a successful CAP inspection through mock inspections and readiness assessments
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address deficiencies and continuously improve laboratory operations
- Establish a system for monitoring, measuring, and evaluating compliance with CAP accreditation standards.

In order to receive your certificate, you have to attend not less than 70%
