Clinical Nutrition Internship 2024
Overview
This internship will provide a detailed understanding of the basics and key issues of clinical nutrition and provide sufficient training to enable the trainee to identify the malnutrition, to calculate the requirements, and create a dietary plan Furthermore, the course provides education and training on sport nutrition, obesity management and dealing with nutritional facts and labelling.
Participants will have the opportunity to shadow experienced professionals in a clinical setting for two days, observing real-life applications of clinical nutrition principles.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
o Identify the principles and methods for nutritional assessment.
o Design personalized diet plans based on individual needs.
o Exploring macronutrient and micronutrient needs across different life stages.
o Define the basics of enteral and parenteral nutrition.
o Define the basics of sport nutrition.
o Develop Strategies for effective weight management.
o Recognize what you eat, through interpretation of food labeling.
