Hospital 57357 welcomed Dr. Heba Saleh, head of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) along with a faculty delegation and a large group of the Institute’s students on an educational visit to the Hospital.
During the visit, channels of collaboration between the two entities were explored with representatives of the Hospital’s development and continuous education department which resulted in coordinating for a training program in health informatics to be given to the Institute’s students.
Also through the different presentations of the Hospital’s deputy general manager and the health informatics’ managers, students were given the opportunity to be acquainted with the Hospital’s health information systems which ensure the delivery of top quality medical services to the children as well as development areas initiated by the Hospital specially in the education and training field.
A group of students shared their experiences with AI and Data-Science-roadmaps. At the end of the visit, the ITI delegation took a tour in the clinical pharmacy department where they were briefed about the ROWA equipment for preparing and dispensing medication. The delegation also visited the Cyberknife unit, the Day-care, and the art therapy recreation center where they offered gifts to the children they met. The students expressed their delight with the visit and their anticipation for an imminent collaboration with the Hospital to benefit from its expertise in Health Informatics.
