57357’s children enjoyed the fifth edition Afro-Chinese folklore art festival shows, coordinated by Mrs. Sohair Abdel Kader. The festival is held annually in cooperation with “Awladena” association for differently abled children at the Egyptian opera house. The festival is held this year under the slogan “together we get back our joy” during the period from 16 to 22 November, with the participation of teams from 32 countries. For 3 consecutive years, the Afro-Chinese festival teams have been visiting 57357’s children to delight them with shows from different countries,.
Today, November 18, 2021, the Hospital received 6 of the participant teams from Morocco, Russia, Jordan, Cyprus, Congo and Egypt, who presented their shows to our children. They started with a folkloric song by the Jordan team followed by a song by Maria Polli from Cyprus, while the child Mina from Egypt presented exceptional music playing on the keyboard using his legs. The singer Diana from Russia presented a song from the Russian heritage, followed by the Moroccan team with religious chanting, and finally folkloric dancing by Congo team. The shows delighted our children who shared them singing and dancing.
From the festival management we were honored by the presence of Ms. Eman Shawki, the organizer of the festival, and the event was presented by Dr. Hussein Zanati, member of the festival jury. Dr. Zanaty is an Egyptian who lives in Japan and invented innovative educational methods in Japan.
It is noteworthy that a choir of 57357’s children presented a singing performance at the opera house yesterday, in cooperation with “Awladna ” association for differently-abled children, in attendance of a group of ministers and public figures. Aside of the festival, an exhibition for the paintings of 57357’s children’s was launched, and will last for 5 days in Hanager at the opera house.
