He had a successful micro surgery to remove the tumor and is getting ready to start the radiotherapy stage
Ibrahim is dreaming of cure, to continue his studies and go back to his small project
Ibrahim is not just my young brother, he is also my friend, partner and supporter. After our father’s death we set up a small project together to participate in covering our home expenditure. Since a young age, Ibrahim was responsible and independent, he studies, works and has many dreams. I never imagined to see him sick and lying in bed.
Abdel Rahman, Ibrahim’s brother goes on: our father left us a small piece of land which we planted to develop a nursery for flowers and plants. We were able to enlarge the nursery and sell its products to take part in the home’s financial responsibility.
Ibrahim is 16 years old. Before being struck with cancer, he was very active, but the disease changed his and our lives. The symptoms started last April as he suffered from weakened vision, severe headache and unbalance. In the beginning, we got him eye glasses, but he got worse. The doctor requested an MRI after which he affirmed that he had a brain tumor and needed a quick surgery, as its size could increase. He advised us to go to 57357, and said that it’s the best place for children’s brain surgeries. The next day we were at the Hospital’s doors. Thanks be to God, they admitted my brother. Since the start, we were impressed with their methods of treatment and care delivery. There was a specific and well-studied plan since day one.
They started with blood tests, x-rays and a shunt then a treatment for glands for about a month after which they carried out a surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery was complicated as this was a deep-seated tumor, but the team of surgeons was very qualified and equipment were up to date. After the surgery, nurses treated my brother with attention and compassion. Thanks be to God, the surgery was successful and Ibrahim’s condition was improving, as the headache disappeared and his vision got cleared. Currently, he is getting ready for a new treatment phase, the radiotherapy stage.
He pursued: when we first discovered Ibrahim’s sickness we were shocked, but after the attention and care he received throughout his treatment period in 57357, brought back hope in his recovery and cure. I believe he will completely recover and return back to his home and land, and we will grow plants and sell them and enlarge our project as per his dreams for the future. The first thing we shall do is donating to Hospital 57357, which saves the lives of many children and their families as well.
