To protect patients, visitors, and staff from getting infections, please follow the instructions posted on the room door, according to the type of infection and its mode of transmission.

Airborne Isolation Precautions: 

•Applied for diseases that spread through very small droplets in the air (like pulmonary tuberculosis, measles, and chickenpox). 

Upon visiting: Please check with the responsible nurse for the rooms. 

•Clean and disinfect hands before entering and after leaving the patient’s room. 

•Isolate the patient in a negative pressure room with the room door closed. 

•Wear an N95 mask before entering the room and dispose of it after leaving. 

•The patient should wear a surgical mask when leaving the room. 

•Food providers should not enter. 

Droplet Isolation Precautions: 

•Applied for diseases or germs that spread through small droplets caused by coughing and sneezing, such as (influenza, whooping cough, mumps, and rubella). 

Upon visiting: Please check with the responsible nurse for the rooms. 

•          Clean and disinfect hands before entering and after leaving the patient’s room. 

•          Isolate the patient in a single room with the room door closed. 

•          Wear a surgical mask before entering the room and dispose of it after leaving. 

•          The patient should wear a surgical mask when leaving the room. 

•          Food providers should not enter. 

Contact Isolation Precautions: 

•          Used for infections and diseases that spread by touching the patient or items in the room, such as (antibiotic-resistant microbes). 

Upon visiting: Please check with the responsible nurse for the rooms. 

•          Clean and disinfect hands before entering and after leaving the patient’s room. 

•          Wear gloves when entering the patient’s room and dispose of them before leaving the room. 

•          Wear an isolation gown when entering the patient’s room and dispose of it before leaving the room. 

•          Food providers should not enter.
