Major General Mahmoud Alsherif welcomed a delegation of 57357’s patients during their leisure trip to Alexandria with its beautiful beaches and the royal jewelry museum. The Governor was keen to be with our children and to give them moral support, which positively affected the children and their families. He praised the Hospital and the services it provides according to latest evidence-based practices, and stressed on the importance of the collaboration between government institutions and civil society organizations. During his meeting with the children the governor was accompanied by his deputy Dr. Jacklyn Azer and Major General Gamal Rashad, head of the central administration for tourism.
The trip included 42 children whose health condition enables them to travel. The children were accompanied by a delegation from the Hospital that included nurses, volunteers and social service specialists. The children were invited to the royal jewelry museum in coordination with Mr. Sherif Al-Akam, member of the tourism committee of the armed forces friends association. The children also spent a nice time in Almandara beach.
It is noteworthy that the Hospital’s volunteers department is accustomed to organizing entertainment trips for children, within the framework of its mission of providing moral support to our children. During their trips, our children are always accompanied by volunteers to take care of them and entertain them. Throughout the year, our children visit many touristic governorates, a time during which they recharge their batteries away from their daily struggle against the dreadful disease.
Thank you Major General Mahmoud Alsherif for your warm welcome to our children!
