NextSeq550 is one of the main devices in 57357’s genomics research lab. It belongs to an advanced category of genetic sequencing known as Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), and it enables researchers to accurately and rapidly determine the genetic sequence of humans, bacteria or viruses. It is also a high throughput device that allows obtaining reliable results for tens of specimens, in less than 48 hours, which used to take numerous days with the previous techniques.
