The art therapy recreation center offers psychological support in parallel to chemo, and radiotherapy.
The artist Aisha Ahmed is asking people to visit Hospital 57357 and to support its patients on her page on facebook, saying: “the Hospital is the largest children’s cancer treatment center in the world in terms of capacity and it is coming closer to achieving world over all survivor rate”. She shared how proud she was for having such medical facility in Egypt and Africa which offers quality medical and psychological care. “I am inviting everyone to come and visit the facility in support of the children with cancer, your participation makes a difference, she added.
Ahmed said that she received an invitation from Dr. Ayman Elghazali Harb, to visit the Hospital and see its labs which she described as one of the largest automated labs in the region. On her facebook page she said that she visited the cyberknife, the latest radiotherapy technology in Africa for treating solid cancers such as brain, liver, kidney and prostate cancer, in a limited number of sessions and without surgical intervention.
She said that, she played and drew with children in the art therapy recreation center, and she was introduced to the support the center offers to children and their families. I saw passionate medical care and utmost cleanliness, along with positive energy and compassion from all staff, she said.
Aisha Ben Ahmed didn’t forget to thank everyone who supports the Hospital, saying: “I would like to thank everyone who contributed with time or money to brighten the lives of these children.
