With your Zakat and Sadaka, many homes of children with cancer will be filled with the joy of Ramadan
In Rodina’s house, this year Ramadan looks different. The joy of Ramadan spread to all the household.
Three years ago, Rodaina was admitted to Hospital 57357 with cancer on the adrenal gland. Her case was critical, she was screaming of pain and unable to walk. This year, Rodaina, the 7-year-old girl, is celebrating Ramadan with her family. She plays with lanterns with her brothers and sisters, while watching 57357’s ads on TV, she reveals: “I want to go to the Hospital to see my friends the doctors and the nurses, play in the garden, and draw in the art therapy workshop”.
Rodaina’s treatment journey was long and tough: 6 condensed chemotherapy doses and 4 diluted ones, surgery to remove the tumor then resuming the chemotherapy. Rodaina’s cancer was aggressive, she needed Bone Marrow Transplantation, BMT, to increase her chances in cure. Radaina had to wait for her turn since the BMT beds are limited and many children need transplantation.
Thanks be to God she had a bone marrow transplantation two months ago. One can hear her laugh again, and Ramadan came this year with happiness for all the household.
Nothing is harder than illness, and nobody is as precious as a son or daughter.
Contribute with Ramadan sadaka to our children’s treatment, and help us expand the BMT unit, so we can save other children like Rodaina.
We want Ramadan’s joy to enter and fill every house.
