Ranin is the head of the Health Economics and Value Unit at CCHE. Ranin is currently a >doctoral researcher (DPhil or PhD candidate) in Evidence-based Healthcare at the University of Oxford, UK. She studied Health Economic Evaluation and Statistical Computing using R and STATA at the University of Oxford, and she studied advanced decision analytic modelling for Health Economic Evaluation at the University of York, UK. Ranin completed her Master’s degree in Health Informatics from Walden University in the US, in 2015, and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality
Ranin is currently focusing her work on generating evidence to improve childhood cancer health outcomes and resource use at Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt (CCHE), as part of her DPhil research work. Her work generates high-quality evidence about the care of children with cancer by combining evidence generated from real-world data, evidence from the literature through systematic review (and meta-analysis) and evidence based on experts’ opinions to improve survival outcomes and resource use for children with cancer in Egypt (CCHE). The generated high-quality evidence will be integral to strategic and operational decision-making at CCHE.
Ranin’s expertise and research interests include health economic evaluation, evidence synthesis, value-based healthcare, clinical epidemiology and studying trends in variations of health outcomes, costs and resource use over time used advanced analytics.
