Clinical nutrition department set up a nutrition clinic that caters to adults patients starting May 2019.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gulsen Saleh, head of clinical nutrition department, Hospital 57357

Purpose of setting up the clinic:

• Improving nutritional status of patient suffering from cancer, and reducing side effects of the treatment. Research studies reveal that following up the nutritional condition of the patient as early as the confirmation of the diagnosis, providing adequate nutritional support will improve patient outcome and chances of cure and reduce side effects of treatment such as vomiting, diarrhea, and repeated inflammatory episodes.
• Also, studies indicate that malnutrition affects the patient’s health and illness condition and increases the chances of complications, and decrease the cure rate.
