• A service provided by the Personalized Medication Management unit of 57357’s pharmaceutical services department to check on the effects of drugs on patients in order to counteract and reduce their toxicity while increasing their efficacy, ultimately ensuring patient safety. As we are monitoring serum levels of chemo therapies like Methotrexate, antibiotics like Amikacin and Vancomycin, antifungals like Voriconazole and Posaconazole, anti epileptics like Phenytion and Valproic acid, immunosuppressants like Cyclosporin, Cardiac glycosides like Digoxin.


• Among the advantages of the unit, is its quick delivery of the service at the same day. The result takes around 1 hour for all medication levels except for Voriconazole and Posaconazole. Beside being the only one to perform therapeutic drug monitoring for Voriconazole and Posaconazole serum level.

With its Two Versa HD machines with (VMAT) technology (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy), 57357’s radiotherapy department is setting new standards for radiation oncology treatment regarding speed and dose reduction to the patient.

More importantly, this new technology increases the precision of the physician in a way that maximizes the radiation dose to the target and minimizes exposure of healthy tissues to radiation.

Also, for the first time in Egypt, the department is equipped with an MR simulator in radiation treatment planning ensuring more protection of healthy cells and increased precision in tumor targeting.

It is noteworthy that 57357’s radiation oncology department is a designated training center by the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA. All of the above points to the quality service provided which ensure better patient care, decreased side effects, and increased survival rates.
