Yaseen is a 4 year old boy from Elmenia governorate, who celebrated the end of his treatment and the start of the follow up phase last week after the good results of his medical tests. The little hero was admitted to 57357 in January, 2020, when he was only three . He suffered from a tumor in the bladder. Despite the harsh period he went through, thanks God his condition gradually improved. He successfully completed his treatment sessions and started to dream about his future: I would like to become a great officer!
“I went through a tough time more that any mother could imagine. The shock of my only child’s illness, seeing him suffering and the fear of losing him were tough feelings. I thought what we see in TV ads about the Hospital was just for advertising, but upon his admittance, I found it to be all true. Moreover, the care and humanitarian treatment we received from everyone, specially Dr. Soha Kareem, my son’s treating physician, reassured me and reinforced the fact that my son was receiving the best quality care. Dr. Kareem told me frankly about my son’s condition, but in a way that calmed my anxiety and toned down my despair. The physician and the nurses’ follow up by phone when we were at home used to give me serenity and hope in his cure. Despite the Corona crisis and what we heard about the decline in the amount of donations to the Hospital, 57357 never stopped providing the best quality care to my son. I would like to send this message to everyone: whoever has a sadaka to give, Hospital 57357 is the right place for it.
When we talked with Yaseen he said: I love Dr. Kareem and I like the Hospital’s elevator, I always ride it when I go to the Hospital. I also like the garden around the Hospital. I want to become an officer when I grow up, then I would also come to visit the Hospital.
With each new story of a 57357 patient, there are numerous heroes who felt his pain and supported his treatment journey. With your support we will be able to help more children to defeat cancer and achieve their dream of cure.
