Hospital 57357’s continuous education and development department organized an educational day to highlight informatics technology as one of the most important elements of healthcare in 57357, to present specialized training programs in the field of health informatics, and discuss ways of cooperation and knowledge exchange with the different specialized universities. The purpose is to contribute to opening new horizons and opportunities to train students and graduates and enhance their skills to feed the job market with change agents that contribute to raising the level of healthcare.
The day was held under the patronage of Helnan Landmark Hotel in New Cairo and was attended by a group of faculty members from 20 universities, National University of EL Alamein, New Giza University, New Mansoura University, Egypt University of Informatics, Zakazik University, Alfayoum University, Badr University in Asiout, Asiout University, Bani Swaif University, National University in New Borg El Arab, Arab University for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, May University, Nile University, Information Technology Institute, Ministry of Communication, Creation and Informatics Technology training center, Training and Statistics Center of the Ministry of Health, Nahda University, Misr University of Science and Technology, and Modern University of Technology and Information.
In attendance of Dr. Wael Eweida, deputy director for Hospital Operation, Dr. Motaz Elzemaity, medical director of Hospital 57357 and some members of the Hospital’s management along with Eng. Hosam Salah, Hospital 57357’s general manager of information systems, Dr. Ahmed Farag, health informatics director, and a group of the Hospital’s informatics system team.
Eng. Hosam Salah, Hospital 57357’s general manager of information systems, presented the journey of health informatics technology in Hospital 57357. The informatics system team presented 57357’s experience in the different specialties of medical informatics and how the Hospital is applying theories in all of its systems. They also explained the ways with which informatics technology is benefiting clinical research and medical education. An open discussion was conducted, where the attendees shared with questions and suggestions aiming to exchange experiences that contribute to the sustainability of the Hospital’s operation and the provision of the best quality care to children with cancer.
In his speech, Dr. Eweida welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their participation and the efforts they exerted to gain maximum benefit from the educational day. Certificates of appreciation were offered to Mr. Hosam Hassan, regional manager and CEO of Helnan Landmark International hotel, and Mr. Abd Rabbo Almokhtar, sales manager, for the efforts exerted by the Hotel to sponsor the scientific meetings in the Hospital. At the end of the day the guests were taken on a tour of the Hospital’s different sections to get to know the operation systems of the medical records, the cyberknife and the data center.
