Amazed by her visit to 57357, Dr. Altaf, Pakistani pediatric oncology expert, looks to gain from its BMT experience

“If other places could emulate what is being done in this hospital, then there can be a world without cancer in children” said Dr. Sadaf Altaf, program director of the Pediatric Hematology Oncology fellowship, Agha Khan Hospital, Pakistan, at the end of her visit to Hospital 57357. Her tour of the facility included Basic Research, Daycare, pharmacy, Art therapy, Cytopathology, Clinical research, Radiotherapy and Main Lab.

Dr. Altaf was particularly impressed by the state of the art Hospital, its strong mission and vision, the dedication and passion of staff and management, their strong commitment to uphold research and smart education, and most of all the holistic aspect of care they provide to their patients and their families. At the end of her visit, Dr. Altaf looked forward to establishing channels of collaboration between her hospital in Pakistan and Hospital 57357 and to benefiting from 57357’s experience in bone marrow transplantation BMT.
