Hospital 57357 hosted a scientific meeting today (July 9, 2024), attended by a group of pathology, laboratory, and quality experts from various laboratories in Egypt. The meeting was attended by Dr. Sherif Abou El Naga, CEO of the 57357 Group, Dr. Manal Zamzam, Director of Continuous Education and Development at Hospital 57357, Dr. Sonia Soliman, Director of 57357 Laboratories, in addition to a group of hospital leaders, quality and laboratory experts, and a representative of the meeting’s sponsor, Sysmex. The meeting aimed to exchange experiences in this important field.

During the meeting, the hospital’s experience in obtaining accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Commission was reviewed. The meeting discussed laboratory procedures, settings, and quality standards, as well as the challenges that were overcome.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Moataz Al Zaimati, the hospital’s medical director, gave a comprehensive overview of the hospital’s commitment to raising the level of quality and performance, pointing out that obtaining CAP accreditation for 57357 laboratories reflects this commitment in a tangible way. He added that quality is not the responsibility of a specific department or administration, but rather the responsibility of the hospital as a whole, with a continuous commitment to improving performance and developing services.

For her part, Dr. Sonia Soliman, Director of 57357’s Laboratories, discussed the details of the laboratory experience, equipment, and the importance of well-trained human resources, stressing that obtaining CAP accreditation enhances the hospital’s position among global centers and laboratories and contributes to accurate diagnosis and raising the level of recovery among 57357 children.
